All Baseball Stories MAC RED DIVISION

STEVENSON 9, CHIPPEWA VALLEY 4: Brandon Hughes (double) was 3-for-4, with an intentional walk, drove in two and scored twice to lead the Titans (4-1, 11-3). Zak Melcher drove in a pair on two hits, while Zack McGuire went the distance for the win, striking out eight and scattering five hits.

MAC WHITE DIVISION

ROMEO 9, L?ANSE CREUSE 2: Nobody needs to train these Bulldogs to fetch the ball. To hit it or pitch it for that matter, either.

Pitcher Greg Antoine got the win. He tossed a five hitter, striking out eight and walking just one.

Senior outfielder Derek Staelgraeve went 2-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Senior catcher Joe Gardner had two hits with two RBI and two runs scored. Senior shortstop Eric Shankin went 3-for-4, scored twice, and knocked in a run. Jesse Rometty, a senior outfielder, had two hits and two RBI.

Romeo (8-2, 4-1) welcomes L?Anse Creuse Wednesday.

MAC BLUE DIVISION

ANCHOR BAY 5, UTICA 2: The home team discovered the high Kost of pitching to Anchor Bay?s senior catcher.

Connor Kost had two hits including a two-run homer in the third inning as the Tars raised their record to 4-1 in the division, 9-5 overall.

Nick Audet, a senior second baseman, had two hits. Freshman Zac Capaldi, a third baseman, had two hits including a double. Pitcher Gary Landless, a junior, went the distance. He struck out four, scattered four hits, and walked only one.

Anchor Bay welcomes Utica Wednesday.

MAC SILVER DIVISION

EAST DETROIT 8, STERLING HEIGHTS 6: While the Shamrocks weren?t in need of any four-leaf clovers, they did even their record at 2-2 in the division with this win.

Senior right hander Jimmie Lewis threw five solid innings. He also helped himself by going 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI. That home run came in the two-run sixth. Tyler Grabowski pitched the sixth and seventh innings for the save.

Sophomore Andrew Whitlow and senior Zach Nevedal each went 2-for-4. Senior John Brandon laced a two-run single in the fourth.

East Detroit welcomes Sterling Heights Wednesday.

ROSEVILLE 11, CENTER LINE 1: Tyler Vandervlucht drove in four runs, while Matt Fowler and Matt Hartwell each plated a pair to lead Roseville (5-0, 5-1). Darnell Wilson tossed a three-hitter.

MIAC RED DIVISION

MACOMB CHRISTIAN 8, LUTHERAN SOUTH 7: Matthew Hurst (2-for-4, two runs) drew a walk in the bottom of the seventh to plate the winning run for Crusaders (2-2, 3-5). Sam Farhat, who struck out six in six innings, also scored two runs.

Adam Scott was 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI for Lutheran South.

CATHOLIC LEAGUE AA DIVISION

LUTHERAN NORTH 7-1, CABRINI 2-5: The Mustangs (2-8, 2-8) were led in the opener by William Kruse (winning pitcher, 10 strikeouts, two hitter) and Blake Weiman (three hits, two RBI).
