Windows 8 Store app missing

Very weird, its one of the apps that can't be uninstalled. I know this may be silly (as you may have already looked) but have you right clicked metro and selected "all apps" and looked under "S" (I just removed my store and it was right there to be put back).

If this doesn't work and the above sfc /scannow doesn't then try this via CMD (its best to use this connected to the internet).

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

This checks for component store corruption, records the corruption to C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log and FIXES the corruption using Windows Update. (think of it as a more advanced sfc /scannow for when the sfc /scannow doesn't work).

If that doesn't work a new user account should bring it back and as a last resort use the "refresh your PC option" that doesn't remove files but restores the OS to its fresh installed state (under metro settings, general).
