This week in celebrity real estate, the big stories are that pop diva Britney Spears bought a home in Thousand Oaks and Kristen Stewart bought a home in Los Feliz.
Britney Spears picks up home in Thousand Oaks
The latest rumor circulating in celebrity real estate circles is that the one and only Britney Spears has picked up a $8.5 million home in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
According to TMZ and Real Estalker, sources say the pop diva is buying in the suburban town, even farther from the drama, paparazzi and buzz of Hollywood. Her new home is about 45 miles from Los Angeles in, of course, a gated and super private neighborhood near Lake Sherwood.
The Mediterranean-style home was built in 2010 on two city lots. Boasting ?unobstructed views? as well as privacy, the home opens to high, beamed ceilings and oak and limestone floors. The home blends indoor and outdoor living spaces, with enormous vanishing doors leading to patios, an outdoor fireplace and infinity pool.
Inside, the home features the standard celebrity amenities: home theater, temperature-controlled wine cellar and a master suite with his-and-her baths and walk-in closets.
Despite Spears? star power, she prefers to live outside the limelight in gated, more suburban communities. Most recently, she and fiance Jason Trawick have been renting an enormous 10,000-square-foot home in Thousand Oaks. Prior to that, she rented a home in Hidden Hills, as well as another estate in Calabasas. The Studio City home she bought on a whim in 2007 finally sold this past April.
Kristen Stewart buys property close to Robert Pattinson's home
While everyone was concerned with her relationship status, Kristen Stewart took the opportunity to quietly buy a new home.
The "Twilight" actress picked up a Los Feliz home just a mile and a half from Robert Pattinson's home for $2.195 million in August.
Stewart was spotted moving out of Pattinson's home after the reports of her affair surfaced. Pattinson reportedly decamped to Reese Witherspoon's home in Ojai, while apparently Stewart stayed right in the Los Feliz neighborhood in her new home.

Situated behind high walls, the hillside home is surrounded by tropical landscaping and has sweeping views of the skyline and valley below. Built in 1957, the home features plenty of indoor and outdoor living with large patios perfect for alfresco dining, pool with spa, terraced gardens and fire pit.

The Los Feliz, Calif., home also has a pool with spa, terraced gardens and a fire pit.
The 3,045-square-foot home has four ensuite bedrooms; the master bedroom includes a sitting room and terrace.
Now that the two are reportedly patching things up, it's unknown whether Stewart will move back into Pattinson's home or continue to stay at her own place.
